University Grants Commission known as UGC has released the List of Fake University in India 2019 List. The UGC keeps the track of all the quality and fake universities across India. Recently University Grants Commission has done research and found some of the Fake Universities in India which don’t have any recognization nor degree awarded by them. The University Grants Commission Board has mentioned the students to keep an eye of the Current List of Fake University in India recognized by UGC board for the year 2019. The UGC Board updates the Fake University List in India regularly on their official website. It’s the responsibility of the students to check the List of Fake University in India 2019 before seeking admission for their students.
Fake Universities In India 2019
As per the UGC Act 1956, the university can award a degree to their students only if they are established under the central provincial or state Act. The universities which are deemed under section 3 of the UGC Act are only eligible to award a degree to their students. Apart from the deemed universities the institutions/ Universities which are specifically empowered by an Act of Parliament are eligible to confer degrees to their students. As per Section 23 of the UGC Act, no institution must include the name University unless they are established under central/ state/ provincial act as per the process. The University Grants Commission clearly mentions that they are responsible for the students who are cheated by the bogus institution that have been functioning against the UGC rules in the country. Recently the UGC board has written an official statement to the state government boards to take strict action against the Fake Universities in India 2019.

What is Fake University?
Fake Universities are the universities in India which are not approved by the government of the state board or UGC. These Fake University are like the institution class. The Fake University in India provides the Under Graduate (UG) and Post Graduate (PG) certificate to its students in various courses. But the certificate which they provide is not officially approved by the Indian Government Board and University Grants Commission (UGC) board. Current list of Fake University in India 2019 recognized by UGC
Below we have provided the UGC Fake Universities List 2019. The University Grants Commission Board has recognized 24 Fake Universities in India. The UGC Board says that below universities are declared as fake and not entitled to confer any degree. Out of the 24 UGC Fake Universities List 2019, eight universities are from the capital city of India Delhi.

The above university is declared as Fake Universities in India by UGC Board. As per the UGC Act 1956, the university which is established under the central provincial or state Act or universities which are deemed under section 3 of the UGC Act is considered as Fake Universities. In the above Fake University List in India, the Bhartiya Shiksha Parishad, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh is subjudice before the District Judge, Lucknow. The UGC board requests the students do not seek any type of Admissions in the above Fake Universities.
How to find the University is Fake or not?
When you want to know whether the university is fake or not, visit their website and check the authenticity of the university. An authenticity university should be recognized and accredited by the state education board or UGC Board. You can also check them by referring to the certificates. The Fake universities use the duplicate seal and wrong spellings. The certificate consists of some grammatical mistakes. The seal which they have on the certificate must be an embossed or gold seal. The fake university always uses Old English Text on their certificates.

Fake Institutions not Approved by AICTE
All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is a statutory body and a national-level council for technical education, under the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development. The AICTE Board has recognized about 279 technical institutions in India which are not approved by the board. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) board has published about these fake universities on their website and gave public notice in newspapers.
Under the AICTE Fake university List, Karnataka State stands first with 23 fake universities, Uttar Pradesh comes next with 22. Himachal Pradesh and Bihar have 18 and 17 respectively. While Maharashtra has 16, Tamil Nadu has 11 such false institutes. Rajasthan and Uttarakhand had the lowest among the list with 3 each.
