The Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Shekhawati University formerly known as the Shekhawati University is the public University located within the village of the Katrathal of the Sikar District of Rajasthan. the sole purpose of the University is catering the study needs of the students of the Shekhawati Region. it was established in the year 2012 by Rajasthan legislative assembly by passing the Shekhawati University, Sikar Bill, 2012. And, the jurisdiction of the region contains the Sikar, Jhunjhunu and therefore the Churu Districts of the state of the Rajasthan. Moreover, the University provides the Post Graduate and Under Graduate Courses in the campus.
About Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Shekhawati University
The word Shekhawati is very popular and concludes three districts of Rajasthan i.e. Sikar, Jhunjhunu, and Churu. In the year 2012, the Rajasthan state government has announced a new university in Sikar and named its a the Shekhawati University. In the year 2012, the university was established by Rajasthan Legislative Assembly by passing The Shekhawati University, Sikar Bill, 2012. University name was changed to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Shekhawati University. Shekhawati University is a newly established public state university situated in the village Katrathal of the Sikar district of the Indian state Rajasthan. The Rajasthan Government board has allotted 30 acres of land near to the village Katrathal on state highway 8 to construct its campus. Presently the campus is under construction and the university is functioning in a temporary campus in Sikar city. University is planning to start post graduation courses in the faculty of social sciences from the start of academic session 2014-2019 to cater to the needs of students in Sikar and nearby districts.
