The University of Kota was built in the year 2003 in a socially rich city Kota located on the bank of sacred Chambal River. The government of Rajasthan has laid the building foundation of Kota University. The university has 192 Affiliated colleges in 6 areas of the state which are in Kota, Baran, Bundi, Karauliand Sawai Madhopur, Jhalawar. The Kota University has honored 96 P.D Degrees and around 1,116 researchers are pursuing Ph.D. programs.

About UOK

The University of Kota is a public university in Kota, Rajasthan, India. It was established through the University of Kota Act 2003, enacted by the Rajasthan State Legislature and asserted by the Governor of Rajasthan. Prof. B.L.Verma was appointed as the first Vice-Chancellor of the University and His Excellency Sh. N.C. Jain, The Governor of Rajasthan was the first chancellor of the University.
